Team Treasurer

Chris Loeser has been the treasurer of The FISH Swimteam since 1995.  Her son, Bart, starting swimming with The FISH in 1994 and her daughter, Mandy, started soon after.  Bart prides himself on being one of the first FISH swimmers who actually enjoyed 4:00 AM practices!  Mandy used her skills learned in The FISH to coach summer swimming in NVSL and USA Swimming while at Radford University.

Her job with The FISH involves coordinating the financial aspects of the team.  Chris's full-time job is that as a court reporter in the Northern Virginia-Maryland-D.C. area, something she started doing after her children graduated high school and entered college.

Chris has been the treasurer of the Northern Virginia Swimming League since 1999 and before that was team rep for Woodley Swim Team.  She is now a certified PVS Referee as well as certified for Referee in the Virginia High School League and NVSL and volunteers to work in as many meets as possible.  She continues to be involved with youth swimming because it is such a positive factor in the lives of young people and an opportunity to attain a balance between sports and schoolwork and excell in a lifetime sport.

Chris lives in Falls Church with her husband and two cats.  Bart lives in Fairfax with his wife, Erin, and Mandy lives in Virginia Beach
