C. The 2001 Championship Season
Young 12
year old Kate Ziegler got her first experience at the PVS Short course (Senior) Champs at the beginning of March. Her two events....the 50 free and the
100 Fly! But she made them count, getting her first AAAA time ever, with 26.25
in the 50 Free.
The PVS
Junior Olympics were up next, and this was the meet where Kate put together all
the conditioning and stroke work of the past season. Entertaining the remote
thought of making the Zone Team, Kate swam personal bests in five of her
preliminary races, followed up by even faster swims in five of her final races
