Career Highlights:
- Kate broke the longest-standing swimming world record when she obliterated Janet Evans' world record in the 1500 freestyle in June 2007.
- Kate won World Championship gold in the 800 and 1500 m freestyle in 2007.
- Kate was the double gold medalist in the 800 m and 1500 m freestyle at the Pan Pacifics and 2005 World Championships.
- Kate has won four medals (one of which is gold) in two appearances at the SC World Champs in 2004 and 2006
- Kate first broke Skippy Woodhead's 25-year-old American Record in the 800m free at the 2005 World Cup stop in New York which at the time presented the oldest standing American Record.
- Kate also took two of Janet Evans' distance freestyle records down, setting new records in the 500 y free in Feb' 06 and in the 1000 y free in Dec. 05.
