Josh Hyde
Assistant Age Group Coach
Coach Josh's competitive swimming career didn't start until his sophomore year of high school following his move from Pennsylvania to Wisconsin. He lettered 3 years in high school, and then went on to the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh and swam there for 4 years. While at UWO, Josh focused primarily on the 100/200 backstroke and 200 freestyle events, but swam a little bit of everything when necessary.
Following his junior season, Coach Josh had the opportunity to coach part time for for local team in Fond du Lac, where he decided to pursue the opportunity of coaching and he was mainly responsible for what was then known as the intermediate level. After his senior season, he came back to coach again, then right after school was over, the head coach decided to move on and Josh was offered the head coaching position on an interim basis for the summer. He was later offered the position full-time following some success that season. During his time with the team they transformed the image from a recreational team to a competitive swim club. They also grew the state team from only 1 member that first summer to more than 10, and took their first athletes to zones in over 9 years.
