When did you join the FISH, and what has been your most memorable experience while being on the team?

I joined Fish about 2 years ago when I was bored of my old club team and wanted to try something new. My favorite memory has definitely been the Fish training trip to Essen, Germany. There was amazing food; diverse training techniques and I still talk to the German swimmers on a daily basis.

What was your most rewarding and exciting meet during your FISH career?

I love every competition because I always learn something new about my swimming and find something to work towards for the next meet.

What is your favorite set?

Any kick set!

What are your favorite events?

50 and 100 freestyle.

What is the biggest challenge for you in swimming?

Maintaining a consistent practice attendance. It's a really bad habit and it's really hard to break...

What motivates you most?

Qualifying for bigger meets and hitting goal times in practice.

Which aspects of swimming do you apply in everyday life?

Time management. It's such an overused thing that swimmers have the best time management but its true. I try to always be punctual and swimming has helped me maintain that.

You are beginning a new chapter in your life, college. What are you most looking forward to? How has FISH prepared you?

I'm most looking forward to everything! As a new college athlete I'm excited to see how this new program can further improve my swimming and to see how far I can take my talents.

What advice can you give your teammates in your group and especially your younger teammates who are just starting out?

Don't get frustrated. It's hard and you'll hurt every day from practice. Keep your head down, suck it up and just do it. Go to every practice and make every interval. You're going to be so excited when you see what you've accomplished when the season comes to an end.

Tell us a little bit about you; what do you like to do when you are not swimming or busy with schoolwork?

I'm a huge foodie! I love going to different restaurants with my friends and family and making yummy treats at home. I seriously considered going to culinary school in the fall but I decided in the end that nursing was a better major for me.
