Meet Coach Casey Brutus

Casey.jpg

Coach Casey did not start swimming competitively until he was 16 years old.  Casey gave up his love for baseball to focus on swimming and he quickly developed a strong passion for the sport. After a successful high school swimming career, he was recruited by Gardener Webb University.  Gardener Webb (Division I) offered him a scholarship and his strong performance during his four-year tenure made Gardener Webb look good in the college swimming circuit.  While at GWU, Casey was an a11-time all-conference swimmer and a Conference Champion in the 100 breast.  Moreover, he currently holds four school records in the 100 and 200 breast stroke as well as in the medley relays.  In addition, he holds top 10 times in the 200 and 400 IM.

During his college years, Casey would go home during the summer to train and to coach.  He worked for his club team in his hometown of Wauchula, FL.  In 2010 he also coached at the Sarasota YMCA Sharks.

Coach Casey joins the FISH with a solid swimming knowledge.  He is a master in swimming breast stroke and the IM.  He knows what it takes to perfect every stroke and to swim it fast.  We are happy to have him join our dynamic group of coaches. His background combined with his great personality will serve the team well.
