We did it Minis! We bested our performance last year and have moved up to the second best Mini team in Potomac Valley Swimming overtaking Curl-Burke. There were many phenomenal swims and personal
best times this past weekend that scored us huge points including 2 Gold medals from Jillian Johnson in the 50 Free and 50 Fly ("A" Time!), and 1 Gold from J.T. Ewing in the 25 Fly.The FISH relays also scored some serious points for the team including 4 team records broken in the 8 year old 200 Free and 100 Medley relays and the 7 year old 100 Free and 100 Medley relays.
Our success at Mini
Champs came from all of the great swims and perfect practice throughout the
whole season from the whole Mini FISH Champs Team. But the success of the Mini
Champs Team came from the support of many sources not only the Mini Champs participants.
The help and support of the entire Mini FISH team pushed the Mini Champs
participants to work to their best potential throughout the whole season and
they really shined this weekend as a result. Our improvement over last year is
also due to the amazing Mini parents that have got their Mini, or even
carpooled Minis, to make sure they make as many practices as possible this
season. Lastly, I would like to thank the entire Mini coaching staff for
bringing out the best in our Minis.
