Steven Benecki Joining the FISH yet again!

We are all very excited to welcome Coach Steven Benecki to the FISH Family.  Please say hello to him when you see him on deck and introduce yourself so that he gets to know all of you very quickly!

Coach Steven learned to swim at the age of four and has been involved in the sport ever since then.    He was one of the very first members of the Fish Swim Team when it began in 1991. Starting out as a Mini Fish, Steven progressed through the groups and trained with the Awesome Fish for ten years.

Steven also swam for his neighborhood swim team, the Franklin Glen Gators starting at the age of five, for fourteen years.  Steven swam all four years at Chantilly High School. He then went on to have a very successful four-year swimming career at George Mason University where he specialized in middle distance freestyle and the 200 butterfly.

He recently graduated with a degree in Accounting.  Steven has been coaching the winter program for the Gators over the past four years.  It seems it has come full circle now that Steven will be coaching and sharing what he has learned with the Fish.
