Emily Meilus won the 10 and under Girls High Point Trophy at
the recently concluded 2010 Retriever Classic, and Kate Ziegler captured the
Open Girls High Point Trophy.
The FISH also had the runner-up 10 & under girls High Point, Isabella Rongione, who overcame a stomach bug and yet captured several firsts. I'm glad I didn't have to clean up the mess!
The FISH girls broke the 10 & under girls 200 Medley Relay record. Emily Meilus, Michelle Owens, Isabella Rongione, and Joanne Fu clocked a 2:06.98! They also led the field in the 10 & under girls 200 Freestyle Relay.
If you weren't at the meet, ask any of the 12 and unders who swam on Monday afternoon about the "Octopus".
I guess all the extra training in December, the 70% practice attendance (and much higher in some cases), really paid off!
