The final day of Age Group Champs has come to a close, marking a great weekend for our individual athletes and the team as a whole.

The finals session had a number of great swims which are highlighted below...

Jason Fu continued his string of top 5 finishes with a 5th place in the 200 breaststroke, coming in with a time of 3:01.30, a drop of 4 seconds from his preliminaries time! Chris Murphy ended up finishing off his weekend with a pair of 4th place finishes in the 100 backstroke (1:11.42) and 50 freestyle (28.52), which caps off his weekend with a top 4 finish in each of his individual races.

Michelle Owens also finished strong with an 8th place in the 100 backstroke (1:27.91) and 3rd place in the 400 freestyle (5:33.35), also cementing her weekend with top 8 finishes in each of her individual events.

Alex Pennington had a couple of great swims in the 200 backstroke and the 100 freestyle, finishing in 12th (2:28.95) and 15th (1:01.23) respectively.

One of the best weekends ever enjoyed by a Fish swimmer now belongs to Isabella Rongione who ended up closing out her weekend undefeated in all individual events when she won the 400 freestyle, in near record time of 5:12.02, and the 100 butterfly in 1:16.05.

The Fish had a great weekend and ended up placing 5th overall at Age Group championships! Thank you all for your hard work and dedication this summer and helping us to complete this great achievement.
