As the 2009 TYR Meet of the Champions concludes, Michael Flach placed 7th overall in the 100 fly with a time of 56:75 dropping nearly one second off his seed time. He finished 14th overall in the 200 IM with a time of 2:15.73.
The men's 800 free was swum by five FISH swimmers; Matthew Benecki (9th place, 8:29.89), Brian Via (13th place, 8:34.10 - his second Junior National cut at the meet), Michael Flach (14th place, 8:34.12), Adam Pennington (24th place, 8:43.75) and John Baldwin (49th place, 9:05.88).
Kate Ziegler swam the 1500 free in a time of 16:40.19.
The men's 400 medley relay was the last event of the meet. The FISH swimmers (A. Pennington, B. Via, M. Flach and Steven Benecki) finished 8th overall in a time of 4:10.63.
