Dear FISH Families --

If you have photos you would like to share with us, we would love to receive them.  We are planning to add more pictures to our website about our swimmers.  We are also planning to compile a video for our next Back-To-Pool Night in 2009.  Any special moments on deck, during practice or at meets, off deck, moments of winning, moments of not doing so well, moments of starting, moments of turning at the wall, moments of touching the wall at the end of a race?  Swimmers interacting with their coaches, swimmers participating in dryland routines, swimmers participating in meets, swimmers participating in social activities....I am looking forward to receiving your photos.

Please send me your special moments via email in a jpg format.

Thank you,
Monika Paris
Team Manager

group.jpg I just wanted to let you know that our German friends arrived safely in Germany.

After two incredible weeks of excitement, they are back home "digesting" their newly experienced impressions.  When Coach Norm and I dropped them off at the airport Wednesday afternoon, we both had the impression that all 15 German guests were happy.  They were appreciative of the two weeks they had spent with us and they are looking forward to welcoming us "on their turf."

Isabella and Michelle Win at Harvest Moon!

Congratulations to Isabella Rongione and Michelle Owens for winning the 9 year old girls' Full Moon and Half Moon competitions at this weekend's Harvest Moon Invitational.

The Fish were well represented by all of the Advanced Age Group and Terrific FiISH with almost every swimmer earning 5 or 6 best times. Congratulations also to Veronica Wolff, David Gent, Avand Lakmazaheri and Megan Murphy for placing second or third in their age groups for the Full Moon!

Success In Athletics

Many parents wonder what differentiates the great athlete from the average one, and whether their kids have what it takes to be great athletes.  We'll let Dr. Jack Daniels, an exercise physiologist at State University of New York at Cortland, and an influential figure in developing the U.S. Swimming Sports Medicine Program, enlighten us.
